Terms of Service
Effective 9 October 2026
These are the terms on which Tasin Labs provides MedShelf — inventory and point-of-sale software for retail pharmacies in Bangladesh. Creating an account means accepting them. They are written in plain language rather than as a contract, in the same voice as the privacy policy, which covers what we store and where it is held.
Your account and the people who use it
One login belongs to one person. You are responsible for keeping its password to yourself, and for everything done through it — a sale carries the name of whoever rang it up, which is the whole point of each salesman having an account of their own rather than sharing the owner's.
An owner invites staff by email and decides, with six switches, what each of them may do: give a discount, sell on credit, cancel a sale, receive stock, see the trade price, and close the day. Those switches are enforced on the server, not merely hidden in the app. An owner may switch somebody off or take them off the roster at any time, and is responsible for doing so when a person stops working there.
Your records are yours
Everything your pharmacy records in MedShelf belongs to your pharmacy. We store it, serve it back and keep it safe; we do not sell it, mine it, or use it to build anything else. We will give it back or delete it on request — see delete your account.
A pharmacy's ledger is append-only on purpose. A cancelled sale is recorded as a reversal and the original stays readable, because a shop whose sales can be made to vanish cannot be audited. That is a deliberate limit on what anybody — including us — can quietly change.
The trial and your subscription
- Each pharmacy you create starts on a free trial, and the trial is the whole product — nothing is held back, cut down or switched off while it runs.
- After the trial, carrying on needs a current subscription. Sign in on medshelf.app and your pharmacy's subscription page shows which term it is on, the day that term ends, and how to renew it.
- Renewing EXTENDS your term rather than restarting it, so renewing early never costs you the days you had left.
- A term you have already started is settled on the terms it was taken on, and a later change to the offer does not reach back into it.
If your pharmacy's standing is not what you expect it to be, write to us at the address below and we will put it right.
What stops if a subscription lapses
A term that ends without being renewed gets three more days. After that MedShelf stops the things that bring in new business, and leaves the rest of your shop working. Your records are never taken away from you: you can still read everything, take money that is owed to you, and close the day.
- Refused: ringing up a sale, receiving stock, a stock take, adding a custom brand, naming a batch, an expiry return, adding a customer, inviting a salesman, and creating a further pharmacy.
- Still open: every read, collecting money owed to you, cancelling a sale, closing the day, logging in, switching shop, your settings, and the subscription screen itself.
Renew and everything in that first list works again straight away. Nothing is deleted while a subscription is lapsed and nothing has to be set up a second time — your medicines, stock, sales, customers and staff are where you left them.
What MedShelf does not decide
MedShelf is a record of what your pharmacy does. It is not a pharmacist, a regulator or a legal opinion, and nothing in it decides what you may lawfully sell. Your drug licence and its classification — Model Pharmacy, Model Medicine Shop or general retail — are yours, and so is every decision that follows from them: what may be dispensed, what needs a prescription, what needs its own register, and what has to go back to the distributor.
The expiry dates, batch numbers, prices and pack sizes in the app are the ones you or your supplier entered. We do not verify them against the carton, and the shelf in front of you is the authority when the two disagree.
Keeping it available
MedShelf is online only. There is one authoritative copy of your shop and it is on the server, which is what makes two people at two counters unable to disagree about who got the last strip — and it means that with no connection you cannot sell. That is a deliberate trade, stated here so it is not a surprise.
We work to keep the service up and we do not promise it will never be down. We may take it offline briefly for maintenance, and we will keep that as short and as quiet as we can.
Using it fairly
- Use MedShelf for your own pharmacy's business.
- Do not try to reach another pharmacy's records, break the service, or get round the limits above.
- Do not resell MedShelf or pass your login to somebody who should have their own.
- Do not use it for anything unlawful.
If an account is used to attack the service or to reach data that is not its own, we may suspend it. Where we can tell you first, we will.
Ending it
You can stop using MedShelf whenever you like, and you can ask us to close an account or a pharmacy and remove its records. If a term you have already started ends early because of something we did, write to us and we will put it right.
If we ever discontinue the service, we will say so well in advance and give every shop a way to take its records with it.
Liability
MedShelf is provided as it is. We are responsible for running the service honestly and carefully, and we are not liable for business losses that follow from figures you entered, from decisions you took using them, or from the service being unreachable. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change materially affects what you get from MedShelf, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh are where any dispute about them is decided.
